Jack Haywood Lodge #6 was established on June 7, 1982, and was first chartered under Worshipful Master Willie Golden, Senior Warden Jehue Robinson and Junior Warden Bruce Howard with, our then, Most Worshipful Grand Master Clester Nelson presiding.

Its name was chosen in honor of our late brother Jack Haywood who passed away on March 25, 1985.  Brother Haywood, who originally held membership in St. Marks Lodge No. 15, faithfully supported the craft until his death.

We, also, note the active participation of our brother and Most Worshipful Past Grand Master Odis Ward, who served this great jurisdiction in that capacity from 1989 to 1991.
